What began as a vision in 1991 following the purchase of an old farm, has become a resort attracting both the avid sportsman and tourist from all over the United States. Sam and Frieda Lancaster have created a premier resort that has hosted a number of prestigious NSCA sanctioned shoots. The first sporting clay course was designed in 1992, and Claythorne has steadily grown into a resort that can easily accommodate over one thousand shooters at a single event. Amenities include:
